Illinois Food Handlers Have a New Online Option for Getting Certificates
The Illinois Food Handling Regulation Enforcement Act that was passed into law in August 2013 established new food handler training requirements. According to this new law, all food handlers employed by restaurants will be required to receive or obtain training accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) in basic safe food handling principles within 30 days of employment and every 3 years thereafter.
