Director Shane Drake is already set to start shooting his new music video for the buzzworthy band Say Anything’s new track, “Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too” from Clive Davis’ label, J Records. The shoot is set for a total of two days and will be on location in Van Nuys. Drake just finished shooting a video for the band The Higher last week in Las Vegas, and in the midst of editing, he is already preparing for a new shoot.

Noor committee planners have finalized plans for their first Iranian Film Festival. The festivities are set to launch with an opening ceremony scheduled on February 1, 2007 at the LAX Hilton. The event will offer a three course sit down dinner, a live musical performance by Strunz and Farah, a live dance performance by Beshkan Dance Academy and a stand-up comedy performance by Peter the Persian. Keynote speaks are Mark Amin (Lions Gate Films) and Shally Zomorodi (Mrs. California Globe 2007).

Children’s singer/songwriter Corey Leland, is set to appear at the Civic Arts Plaza on January 17, 2007 for a matinee showing of A Kid’s Life musical. The A Kid’s Life musical is built on lyrics and music written by Corey Leland. The musical-- produced by director Keith Markinson, just started its first U.S. tour on December 27, 2006. Presented by Community Educational Entertainment, Inc., it is an uplifting show that teaches children respect for the environment, self-esteem, and kindness to animals and each other. Filled with upbeat music (songs like "When I Grow Up I Wanna Be Happy"), entertaining dancing and adorable characters—parents and children both will leave feeling inspired by the message within the music. A Kid’s Life is a wholesome show perfect for the age range of three to six-- but as the theme song states it is "a show that's just for kids, no matter what your age."

The crowd cheered and danced to his hits like “Soul Power” and “I Feel Good,” like he himself were singing for them right then and there. If it were someone else’s funeral, it wouldn’t be this funky. For his fans did not just come to mourn his death, they also came to celebrate his life and his music. He is James Brown, “The Godfather of Soul.” He was 73.
