ABC11 Eyewitness News has announced its participation in the 3rd Annual Tunnel To Towers 5K Run and Community Walk, honoring fallen Sept. 11 firefighters in Wake Forest, N.C. Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, ABC11 Eyewitness News morning meteorologist Don Schwenneker will be the emcee for the 5K, which came to Wake Forest in 2009 to honor New York City firefighter Stephen Siller, who lost his life on Sept. 11, 2001. The race will begin at the Wake Forest Fire Department 1, located at 420 E. Elm St. in Wake Forest.
