Håvard Rosenlund is a biologist and conservationist who has always had a love for wildlife. He has studied elephants in Serengeti National Park, Tanzania, and leopards in Zululand, South Africa. Rosenlund says, "What really got to me during my time in Africa was the difficulties you face as a researcher and conservationist working in a third world country. Funding is hard to come by, especially if you work in areas with less tourism, and equipment is rarely up to date. Governments continue to reduce funding for conservation, and many protected areas are heavily understaffed. This eventually gave me an idea. Using my own experience from working in Africa and newfound love for wildlife photography, I want to set out on a quest to seek out local conservation projects around the world working to save endangered species and wildlife. I will document their work and the species they try to protect on my blog using both photos and videos."
