Sovereign Health Group announces the launch of a major editorial campaign, "The State of Addiction Policy." This new series, which covers behavioral health topics relating to the United States presidential election and the current political landscape, will run through Election Day, Tuesday, November 8, 2016. "The State of Addiction Policy" series encompasses multiplatform coverage, including investigative reporting, educational articles, infographics and interactive elements to both inform and engage the nation's readership on the issues.

Sovereign Health Group will soon open its doors to a new eating disorders program at its Rancho San Diego facility. The eating disorders program, which is slated to open later this month, will specialize in the treatment of anorexia nervosa and bulimia, providing both inpatient and outpatient services for adolescent girls 12-17 years of age. The eating disorders program will offer each patient an individualized plan, encompassing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and neurofeedback.

According to a recent report from the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, approximately 40 million adults in America suffer from an anxiety disorder. That is around 18 per cent of the population, with a large portion of them not letting their family and friends know what they are going through. Georgia Foster, a leading anxiety coach as seen in the media, wants people suffering from anxiety to make those people around them to be aware of what they are going through.

Sovereign Health Group will launch a week-long campaign in support of Eating Disorders Awareness Week (EDAW). The goal of this national campaign, which runs from February 21-27, is to raise awareness about eating disorders, examine myths, and challenge the stigmas and stereotypes about eating disorders.

Gregory Young, LMFT, has joined Sovereign Health as the Senior Director of Clinical Innovation. Swiyyah Woodard, the award-winning author, speaker and noted mental health advocate, announced today that she will be hosting and speaking at a free mental health awareness forum for the community on March 4. The event will take place at the Enoch Davis Center. Affiliated with the Federation of Families of FL Inc., Woodard will deliver a motivational speech and autograph her new book release, "Don't Call Me Crazy! Again." Woodard's first book, "Don't Call Me Crazy!" was inspired by her story of being diagnosed and hospitalized — and then recovering from —Paranoid Schizophrenia.
