New Publishing House Combines Best of Traditional and Self Publishing
WillPower Press aims to give authors both the support and control that they crave in the publishing process.
Houston, TX -- (ReleaseWire) -- 09/29/2014 --When it comes to publishing a book, authors these days have more options than ever in our history. Many choose to follow the traditional path, signing with a publisher who will turn their book into a commodity to be sold. Others will opt to retain control of their work, but risk fading into obscurity.
The quandary that authors must face is whether to choose a knowledgeable support team to help their book thrive or a say in how the final product comes together in the end.
About WillPower Press
WillPower Press, a new publishing house based in Houston, doesn’t want authors to feel like they must sacrifice one for the other. While their is still under development, their landing page boasts that they create books for entrepreneurs and small businesses.
Potential authors interested in the company go through an extensive submissions process and, as they would if they were self-publishing, are required to make an investment in the creation of the book. Once signed with the house, each writer is assigned a project manager, who supports him or her through the rest of the publishing process.
“I want my writers to have the best from both the traditional and independent publishing models,” says company spokeswoman, Angie Mroczka. Mroczka, who has filled many positions in the publishing industry since getting her start in 2009, joined WillPower Press as Creative Director earlier this year.
The house launched its first book, Doing Business God’s Way by Santiago Rivera, at the beginning of September. The inspirational business book has already spent some time on the Amazon best seller list for its category and print sales continue to increase steadily.
