According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics report, non-farm payroll edged up by 103,000 jobs in September, and the job loss rate stayed steady at 9.1 percent. The hires rate at 3.1 percent and separations rate at 3.0 percent, both, remained essentially unaffected over the month. The job openings rate has drifted up gradually since the end of the recession in June 2009.
