The 600th anniversary of Saint Joan of Arc’s birthday will be next week on January 6, 2012, and author Ben D. Kennedy has released a paper to celebrate this special anniversary that details the significance of Joan of Arc’s birth on the Epiphany.

Both New Year’s Eve services will include a vow renewal for married couples, a time of commitment for teens and singles, and the reveal of World Overcomers Christian Church’s 2012 theme. Childcare will only be provided for the 7:30 p.m. New Years Eve service.

The church’s praise and worship team, Frontline, will sing original selections from their 2011 Christmas album, “You Are the King,” during the family-centered services. World Overcomers Christian Church seeks to welcome people of all ages during these times, with adults and teens worshipping in the sanctuary, and children participating in a “Happy Birthday Jesus!” party presented by the children’s ministry, complete with food, gifts and a theatrical performance on the importance of Christmas. More than 500 children are expected to attend this portion of the Christmas services.
