Qatar's two telecoms service providers, Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar , will enjoy strong revenue and subscriptions growth in the country over the medium term. Despite the country's small population, a rapid influx of migrant workers to support Qatar's construction boom will support continued subscriptions growth, while strong consumer spending power and limited competition will ensure ARPUs remain high. Healthy consumer appetite for new technology will contribute to rising demand for 3G/4G and converged telecoms services throughout our forecast period to 2018 . Competition between the two operators for customers in these high value segments of the market will drive aggressive network expansion a nd the development of innovative new data-based services for enterprises and consumers.

Nuisance phone calls can be incredibly irritating, and dubious phone calls with suspicious offers or claims often leave people in two minds as to whether to trust the caller. Equally, missed calls from unknown contacts can be supremely frustrating as they represent missed opportunities. In all these cases, being able to identify the owner of a phone number from the number itself is hugely useful in clarifying situations. Fortunately Look IPA phone numbers has created a fast, free and easy way to identify an owners number from the number itself, and has created new partnerships to roll out their service across all fifty states.

The Taiwanese telecom market is among the most mature in the region, with a mobile penetration of 126.8% in 2013 and with postpaid making up 84.7% of the market. The Taiwanese mobile market looks exciting in 2014 as six operators have obtained their 4G licences and 4G services have been introduced . However, operators face a short-term ARPU squeeze from the regulators , who have imposed compulsory cuts to mobile termination rates and requirements to provide free peering between 2013 and 2016. That said, the migration towards a 4G market should open up new data-driven revenue sources for operators such as mobile payment, mobile commerce and cloud computing services.

New data shed fresh light on the Netherlands' wireline and mobile voice and data services markets. Internet telephony services lifted the wireline voice market in 2012/13 but the mobile market declined as operators shed more inactive prepaid subscribers than expected and mobile termination rate cuts accentuated declines in operator-billed voice and data service revenue. The roll out of 4G LTE services provides some uplift to the mobile and broadband markets, but essentially is cannibalising an existing audience. In this context, despite its considerable strength as an MVNO, Tele2 's delayed emergence as a converged services player lacks conviction.

VSAT is the acronym of Very Small Aperture Terminal, the term 'Very Small' coming from relatively small sized antenna mounted on walls, roof tops or ground. VSATs are communication terminals that transmit and receive text, audio, and video data using satellite broadband internet services. A VSAT network comprises a main station or hub and other sites located at remote places, which communicate with the satellite. These networks provide good wireless broadband connectivity in remote areas where wireline connectivity is not possible. To transmit and receive data, VSAT systems and applications make use of geostationary satellites that are placed in the geostationary orbit over the equator at an altitude of 35,786 kilometres.
TechNavio's analysts forecast the Global Maritime VSAT market to grow at a CAGR of 8.01 percent over the period 2014-2018.
Covered in this Report
The Global Maritime VSAT market can be segmented into two segments as Services and Terminals, which is further divided into four sub-segments. Services include Ku-band Services, L-band Services, C-band Services and HTS Services, whereas Terminals include Ku-band Terminals, L-band Terminals, C-band Terminals and HTS Terminals.

VITAphoneNEO is a smart cloud-based intercom powered by the Android OS that mounts near or directly to the front door of any home, building or office. When a visitor comes calling, they’ll use the VITAphoneNEO touchscreen to virtually ring the doorbell. Thanks to the built-in camera, microphone and speakers a full-fledged conversation happens as you answer the door – from your smartphone. When a visitor arrives to the home or office, they'll use the touchscreen to do the equivalent of ringing a doorbell using the «call» button. A few seconds later the home dweller or office worker hears the doorbell ringing – from their smart phone. Visitors are brought to the user’s attention no matter where in the world the homeowner might be – literally.

It happens to everyone. The expectation of an important call on a smart phone missed because a TV or Radio was too loud or it was in another room or any number of other reasons the phone was not heard. Now an Australian tech startup has found a way to alert users of important incoming calls when a phone sound is out of range and they've launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise capital funding to get the product to market.
